Dr. Luca Galletti is leaving the group to join Københavns University Niels Bohr Institute as an Assistant Professor.  Congratulations to Luca!  We will miss you and good luck in your new endeavors!

Congratulations to Manik Goyal on passing his defense today! Thanks to Manik for the great work developing MBE of cadmium arsenide and good luck in your future endeavors.

Our former student Varistha (Gift) Chobpattana has been awarded the thesis award from the national research council of Thailand.  She is one of 47 students to receive the award.  Gift is now Professor in the Department of Material and Metallurgical Engineering at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi.  Congratulations to Gift on this highly deserved award!

Simon Munyan has joined the group as a graduate student.  Simon obtained his B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Penn State this Spring.  Welcome to the group, Simon!

Dr. Biswajit Datta has joined CCNY as a postdoc in Prof. Vinod Menon's group. Thank you for your contributions and best wishes for your future endeavors, Biswajit!

Dr. Timo Schumann who joined us as a postdoc in 2014 and later became a Project Scientist in our group is leaving to join a company in Switzerland.  Many thanks to Timo for his time with us, excellent science and hard work - you will be missed!

Welcome to Arman Rashidi, who joined us a postdoc on July 1, 2020.  Arman received his Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico.

Salva Salmani Rezaie has been selected to receive a DCMP Travel Grant for the 2020 APS March Meeting in Denver, Colorado, March 2-6, 2020.  Congratulations to Salva on this highly deserved honor!

Nick Combs and Evan Guo have both won Graduate Traineeships from UCSB's Quantum Foundry*! Congratulations to Nick and Evan for writing winning proposals!
