Salva Salmani Rezaie has been selected to receive a DCMP Travel Grant for the 2020 APS March Meeting in Denver, Colorado, March 2-6, 2020.  Congratulations to Salva on this highly deserved honor!

Kaveh Ahadi is leaving our group to join NCSU as an Assistant Professor.  Thanks for all the great work, Kaveh, and best of luck in new endeavors!

Nick Combs and Evan Guo have both won Graduate Traineeships from UCSB's Quantum Foundry*! Congratulations to Nick and Evan for writing winning proposals!

*Funded through the National Science Foundation’s Q-AMASE-i initiative, the Quantum Foundry at UC Santa Barbara is a next generation materials foundry that develops materials and interfaces hosting the coherent quantum states needed to power the coming age of quantum-based electronics.

Dr. Biswajit Datta has joined the group as a postdoctoral researcher.  He did his doctoral work at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in Mumbai.  Welcome, Biswajit!

Our intern, Billy Strickland, is leaving the group and will join the Physics Program at NYU in the Fall as a graduate student - thanks for all the great work and best of luck, Billy!

Evan (Binghao) Guo has joined the group as a graduate student.  Evan received his B.S. (dual major Materials Science and Engineering and Physics) from Northwestern University.  Welcome, Evan!

Dr. Honggyu Kim is leaving for an Assistant Professor Position at the University of Florida (Department of Materials Science and Engineering).  Best wishes for continued success, Honggyu!
